Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Supervisor for a growing pharmaceutical/consumer products site in Lakewood, NJ.

You will lead a full maintenance team on packaging lines, coaching on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement on the shop floor. The role requires an associate degree (bachelor's preferred), at least five years in maintenance supervision within a regulated manufacturing environment, and PLC/CMMS/ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree is required; bachelor's degree is highly preferred
• At least five years of similar maintenance supervision experience in manufacturing
• Pharmaceutical, consumer products, food, or beverage manufacturing experience
• Experience working in FDA regulated manufacturing environments
• Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Preventative maintenance programs and ticketing systems experience
• Strong continuous improvement background, focused on increasing uptime and efficiencies
• Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel
• Six Sigma training or certifications (preferred)
• ERP and CMMS experience (preferred)
• Packaging experience (preferred)
• Power BI (preferred)
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
• OSIsoft PI system (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Coaching: Directly responsible for building a high-performing, 24/7 maintenance team in the packaging department.
• Safety & Compliance: Promotes a strong safety culture and enforces plant safety policies.
• Maintenance Planning & Operations: Coordinates, schedules, and assigns maintenance resources for packaging lines.
• Continuous Improvement & KPIs: Owns and maintains safety and productivity KPIs related to maintenance.
• Work Flexibility: Maintains flexibility to work any shift and weekends to support continuous operations.
