Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs invites applications for a Shift Manager Maintenance at Dearborn Works. The role leads a team of skilled trades to ensure reliability of mechanical equipment through preventative maintenance and responsive repairs on a 24/7 operation.

You will supervise maintenance staff on your shift, develop short-term maintenance plans, drive continuous improvement in health, safety and environmental quality, and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Mechanical/electrical and supervisory experience in heavy industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, interpersonal, and communications skills.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance employees on assigned shift.
• Maximize employee utilization via training.
• Drive continuous improvement in health, safety and environmental quality.
• Maintain equipment and develop short-term maintenance plans.
• Ensure safety guidelines are met and coached to hourly employees.
