Job summary

AFFORDABLE HOUSING NETWORK INC is seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Facilities Lead in Cedar Rapids, IA to keep our properties and systems safe, functional, and well maintained. You will lead a maintenance team while actively performing day-to-day maintenance tasks and coordinating projects.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, inspections for city, HUD compliance, and troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, with ownership of building systems and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; prior facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience leading a maintenance team is desirable.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on facilities, vehicles, equipment, and building systems.
• Inspect and coordinate inspections with city, HUD, and compliance bodies.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to maintenance staff.
• Coordinate projects with Facilities Manager and manage supplies.
• Maintain inventory and track purchases and invoices.
