Job summary

PepsiCo seeks a facilities repair and maintenance professional for its Cedar Rapids location. The role drives complex tasks with strong autonomy, overseeing building upkeep, repair scheduling, and safety inspections.

You will manage diverse trades including electric, hydraulics, carpentry, and masonry, while aligning with corporate strategies. Requires a background in preventive maintenance, excellent planning, and leadership to guide teams in a union setting.

Qualifications

• High School or GED diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience implementing preventive/predictive maintenance systems.
• Strong planning and scheduling abilities.
• Leadership to guide technical resources under supervision and influence others in maintenance issues.
• Experience in a Union environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of steam condensate systems, compressed air, cooling towers, pumps, and piping systems.
• Proficiency in project management, REA/CEA management.
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute complex tasks and initiatives in facilities repairs and maintenance.
• Develop tactical plans and schedules for repairs and maintenance projects.
• Identify new technology and processes to optimize resources and efficiency.
• Oversee services related to electric maintenance, mechanics, hydraulics, carpentry, and masonry.
• Supervise equipment maintenance, repair, and installation in designated areas.
• Contribute to key area processes and align with business strategy within a matrix organization.
