Job summary

Affordable Housing Network (AHNI) seeks a Facilities Specialist in Cedar Rapids to perform preventative maintenance on facilities, vehicles, and equipment, and to manage utilities, custodial tasks, and repairs across assigned buildings.

You will also handle inventory, supplier contacts, and basic repairs to ensure safe, well-maintained housing environments for residents and staff. This full-time role offers benefits and opportunities for growth in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Experience maintaining facilities and related systems is preferred.
• Ability to perform routine preventative maintenance and basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility, vehicle, and equipment preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Maintain buildings, custodial tasks, and equipment setup.
• Complete building repairs and upkeep including painting and door/window repair.
• Maintain utilities: heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical repairs.
• Manage storeroom inventory and order supplies; deliver items as needed.
