Job summary

The Chief Engineer at Apsilon Hotels, LLC is responsible for supervising the hourly maintenance team and ensuring efficient operation of all mechanical systems while upholding safety and brand standards. This role requires hands-on leadership, training, and oversight of preventive maintenance and parts procurement.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in hospitality maintenance, a technical certificate or engineering degree, CFC and Stationary Engineer licenses, and strong English communication

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hospitality or related building maintenance.
• 2-year certification from technical school or college degree in engineering.
• CFC license and Stationary Engineer license grade as required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; English speaking, reading, and writing.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and work with the maintenance team.
• Provide field support to assist maintenance team.
• Follow procedures for ordering and receiving parts and materials.
• Follow preventative maintenance procedures.
• Proficient in the operation of maintenance software.
• Access energy management system information and reset equipment as needed.
• Conduct training classes and maintain training records.
• Review all assigned preventive and scheduled maintenance work orders.
• Perform general and preventive maintenance and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain plant operations and accurate shop logs.
• Coordinate with Regional Chief Engineering on expenditures or supplies; obtain GM approval.
• Complete tasks timely while maintaining safety requirements.
• Follow up on rescheduled work due to material, time, or manpower shortages.
