Job summary

Praxis Technology, a New York-based manufacturer of titanium parts for medical devices and aerospace, is seeking a Lead Machinist to operate CNC and conventional machinery on 2nd shift (3pm–11pm). You will perform basic setups, read drawings, maintain tooling, and support quality and safety standards in a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of machinist experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to learn new machining techniques.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2 years machinist experience.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
• Desire to learn CNC machining and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and conventional machinery following work instructions.
• Perform machine setups under limited supervision.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders.
• Measure parts with standard inspection gauges and instruments.
• Maintain production and quality records.
• Train new machine operators as needed.
