Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Machinist (2nd Shift: 3:00 pm-11:30 pm) to operate manual lathes and milling machines, producing high-quality precision components. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety, and the ability to interpret complex blueprints with minimal supervision.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, machining training, and hands-on experience with manual equipment. Certification and a willingness to work extra hours are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with lathes, VTL, grinding and milling.
• Blueprints, technical documents, and work instructions reading.
• Math skills for measurement and problem-solving.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual machine tools to fabricate or repair precision components.
• Analyze blueprints and work orders to determine setups and sequences.
• Apply GD&T to ensure conformance.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and pi tapes to inspect parts and verify specs.
• Maintain documentation and collaborate with team to meet priorities.
