GTI Fabrication seeks a Working Lead to manage daily team duties in our welding/fabrication department. As a subject matter expert, you will guide staff, interface with leadership, and report daily status of projects and needs identified by the team.

Responsibilities include improving processes, ensuring safety, aligning with QA, and supervising multiple projects to meet quality and delivery goals. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related welding/fabrication experience.
• Proven ability to supervise and motivate direct reports.
• Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Versatility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements department processes, policies, and procedures.
• Interfaces with QA to ensure high quality and improve methods.
• Ensures manufacturing methodology is followed.
• Communicates goals and initiatives to improve plant performance.
• Supervises day-to-day department activities and staff.
• Keeps knowledge of machine capacity and optimizes utilization.
• Enforces safety rules and investigates incidents.
• Directs staff and maintains adherence to policies and regulations.
• Provides day-to-day guidance and recognition of performance.
• Monitors team activities and addresses issues.
• Directly supervise employees and perform supervisory responsibilities.
