Job summary

GTI Fabrication is seeking a Working Lead for the 2nd shift to guide a welding/fabrication team and act as the first point of contact for daily activities. You will interface with leadership, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and drive improvements in department performance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Buffalo, NY.

Qualifications

• Two to four years welding/fabrication experience.
• Proven ability to supervise and motivate direct reports.
• Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for the 2nd shift and interface with leadership on status updates.
• Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to approved manufacturing methods.
• Improve plant performance through defined goals and initiatives.
• Supervise staff and assign duties, monitoring work quality and attendance.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering to optimize processes and resolve issues.
