Job summary

GTI Fabrication, a contract manufacturer serving renewable energy and industrial systems, is seeking a Working Lead for the 2nd Shift. You will act as the SME for the team, guiding daily activities and interfacing with leadership on project status.

The role requires welding/fabrication experience, leadership skills, and the ability to read electrical blueprints. Shift is 3:30pm–12am with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Two to four years related welding/fabrication experience.
• Proficiency in supervising and motivating direct reports.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements efficient department processes.
• Interfaces with QA to ensure high final quality and improve methods.
• Ensures manufacturing methodology is followed.
• Develops goals and initiates improvements to plant performance.
• Performs the physical work of the department.
• Keeps knowledge of machine capacity and optimizes utilization.
• Enforces safety rules and investigates incidents.
• Assigns duties, monitors quality, and ensures policy adherence.
• Provides day-to-day guidance and recognizes performance.
• Monitors team activities and resolves problem areas.
• Supervises employees and carries out leadership responsibilities.
