Job summary
GTI Fabrication in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations within a contract manufacturing environment. You will own staffing, scheduling, throughput, safety, quality, delivery, and cost while developing Production Supervisors and teams.
The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership, experience in engineered-to-order products, and strong knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, and final assembly.
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience leading 25–100+ frontline employees.
- Experience in contract manufacturing and engineered-to-order products.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication and assembly processes.
- OSHA safety practices knowledge and ERP/MRP usage (SAP preferred).
Responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations for an assigned value stream and manage staffing.
- Own safety, quality, delivery, and cost; monitor KPIs and drive improvements.
- Drive throughput improvements using Lean, Kaizen, and value stream enhancements.
- Coordinate with Metal Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical Assembly, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Drive New Product Introduction readiness and manufacturing ramp-up.
