LPC Personnel, Inc is seeking an experienced Fabrication Lead to oversee daily fabrication activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will provide hands-on leadership to the fabrication team, review drawings, assign jobs, resolve production issues, and train employees on proper methods and PPE to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous fabrication and welding experience required.
  • Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and equipment.
  • Experience with MIG, TIG or stick welding.
  • Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Knowledge of fitting, layout, cutting, welding, and assembly.
  • Able to use measuring tools (tape, calipers, levels, squares).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Able to manage multiple jobs in production.
  • Hands-on leadership while directing a team.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily fabrication team activities.
  • Assign work and prioritize jobs based on production schedules and deadlines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform and oversee fitting, welding, cutting, grinding, and assembly operations.
  • Ensure fabricated components are properly fitted, aligned, and meet specifications.
  • Monitor work progress and communicate production needs or issues to management.
  • Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and dimensions.
  • Identify fabrication issues and assist with troubleshooting and corrective actions.
  • Train and guide fabrication employees on proper methods and safety procedures.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, materials, and work areas are properly maintained and organized.
  • Monitor material usage and notify management of shortages or production needs.
  • Promote safe work practices and PPE compliance.
  • Assist with production records, job documentation, and quality paperwork.
  • Work with other departments to coordinate production and deadlines.
  • Lead by example in a positive, productive environment.

Position Summary
