Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient care using the nursing process on NGMC campuses. You will collaborate with physicians and staff to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, ensuring timely and safe interventions.

The role includes assisting the Clinical Administrator with protocol development, staff training, time-keeping, and leadership activities as directed.

Qualifications

• Licensed as LPN in Georgia with current BLS or within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with writing and training staff is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's physical and emotional needs and provide appropriate care.
• Perform the initial assessment and develop a plan of care with the physician.
• Document nursing interventions and implement physician orders in a timely manner.
• Administer medications and document accurately; monitor for safety and efficacy.
• Serve as clinical resource for MOAs and other non-licensed staff.
• Assist in leadership related functions, protocol creation and staff training.
