Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• LPN licensure in the State of Georgia required.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's physical and emotional needs and provide appropriate care.
• Perform the initial assessment on arrival and develop a care plan with the Physician.
• Document nursing interventions and communicate plan through written and verbal reports.
• Administer and document medication administration per orders.
• Maintain infection control and safety practices.
• Set priorities and follow Physicians' orders within appropriate timeframes.
• Serve as a clinical resource for MOAs and other staff.
• Complete at least six hours of continuing education annually and precept nursing students or new staff.
• Cross-train to basic radiological and laboratory functions as needed.
• Conduct a clinically-related in-service for center staff each review year.
