Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the NGPG Internal Medicine group. This full-time day shift role is located in Braselton, GA and supports patient care across the unit with a strong emphasis on nursing processes and collaboration with physicians.

Responsibilities include initial and ongoing assessments, care planning, medication administration, documentation, infection control, and serving as a resource for staff.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Successful completion of nursing skills checklist.
• Active LPN licensure in the state of Georgia is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s physical and emotional needs and provides appropriate care.
• Performs initial assessment upon arrival and collaborates with the physician to develop a care plan.
• Documents nursing interventions and executes physician orders promptly.
• Administers medications accurately and maintains infection control practices.
• Serves as a clinical resource for MOA’s and other staff and supports ongoing education.
