Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an LPN to join our nursing team. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care across NGMC centers and utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.

Responsibilities include initial and ongoing assessments, medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with physicians. The position requires GA licensure and a current BLS certification, with a 30-day window to obtain if needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an LPN in Georgia.
• Current BLS certification or required to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and emotional needs and provide appropriate care.
• Perform initial assessment upon arrival and develop a care plan with the physician.
• Conduct ongoing assessment and communicate plan with documentation and verbal reports.
• Document nursing interventions and implement physician orders promptly.
• Administer and document medications accurately.
• Identify and apply infection control and safety practices.
• Prioritize care and execute physician orders within required timeframes.
• Serve as a clinical resource for MOAs and other non-licensed staff.
• Comply with drills, CPR requirements, and system-wide requirements.
• Maintain skills checklist and assist with skills checks for staff.
