Job summary

Qualifications

• 4 years of verified experience with low voltage systems and cabling.
• Ability to plan project workflow with design basics and task efficiency.
• Experience with Infrastructure (ITS), Access Control/Security, Cameras (CCTV), and Paging.
• Experience installing devices for ITS, Access Control/Security, CCTV, and Paging.
• Troubleshooting experience with Copper, Fiber, AV, Cameras, and Access Control/Security.
• Willingness to obtain manufacturer certifications in Unicam fiber terminations.
• Willingness to obtain manufacturer certifications in Mini-Com terminations.
• Experience with MDF/IDF enclosures, rack installations.
• Ability to read a measuring tape to 1/16 inch.
• Must provide personal hand tools within 30 days.
• Strong customer relationship skills and focus on customer satisfaction.
• Able to travel to meet customer objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of 4-6 members to install, repair, terminate, certify and troubleshoot low voltage cabling and devices.
• Assist site Superintendent and assume responsibilities as needed.
• Demonstrate leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Train and supervise other technicians.
• Install cabling and devices for ITS, Access Control, CCTV, and Paging.
• Perform task planning and schedule communication with team.
• Build out MDF/IDF enclosures and racks.
• Ensure proper labeling, routing, and dressing of cabling.
• Operate test equipment and interpret copper/fiber test results.
• Adhere to BICSI, ANSI, TIA standards and NEC codes.
• Maintain detailed records of locations and materials.
