Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Technician 3 to install, maintain, and repair cabling and devices for low voltage systems. The role requires independent work with supervision, training for others, and leadership to ensure client satisfaction, safety, and budget-conscious project delivery.

The technician will build out MDF/IDF spaces, manage riser/plenum considerations, and ensure compliance with BICSI, ANSI, TIA, and NEC standards. Amteck emphasizes quality and teamwork on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• 4 years of verified experience with low voltage systems and cabling.
• Ability to plan project workflow with understanding basis of design and task efficiency.
• Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure (ITS), Access Control/Security, Cameras (CCTV), and Paging.
• Experience installing devices for Infrastructure (ITS), Access Control/Security, Access Points (Wi-Fi), Cameras (CCTV), and Paging.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting Copper, Fiber, AV, Cameras, and Access Control Systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of 4-6 members and work hands-on to install, repair, terminate, certify and troubleshoot devices and cabling with guidance from a Tech Superintendent.
• Assist site Superintendent and assume responsibilities as needed.
• Demonstrate leadership, communication, and decision-making skills for team growth.
• Train and supervise other technicians while maintaining high safety standards.
• Plan pathways and perform installations with minimal instruction.
• Install and label cabling for ITS, Access Control, CCTV, Wi-Fi, and paging systems.
• Troubleshoot faults in Copper, Fiber, AV, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
