We are seeking a Lead Logistics Representative to support daily logistics, shipping, customer service, and warehouse operations. This is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating customer orders, shipment scheduling, inventory movement, and communication between customers, warehouse personnel, and transportation partners.
The Lead Logistics Representative serves as a team resource and point of contact within the operation, helping ensure customer requirements are met while supporting efficient workflow throughout the facility. This position works closely with the Office Manager and warehouse team to promote accuracy, on-time shipments, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a safe and compliant work environment.
- Assist in coordinating daily shipping, receiving, and customer service activities.
- Partner with warehouse personnel to ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
- Create and manage customer orders within the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Schedule inventory for shipment using FIFO (First In, First Out) guidelines and customer requirements.
- Build and release shipments according to customer schedules and inventory availability.
- Prepare Bills of Lading (BOL) and related shipping documentation.
- Communicate shipment status, delivery updates, and service issues to customers.
- Coordinate expedited shipments when necessary.
- Maintain accurate data and records in warehouse and customer systems.
- Generate and distribute operational reports as needed.
- Follow company procedures, quality standards, and inventory control practices.
- Work closely with transportation providers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues and support customer satisfaction.
- Assist with training and supporting team members on daily processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, customer service, or distribution operations.
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with multiple teams.
- Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily office-based work with regular interaction in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing administrative duties.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies and shipping documents.
- Occasional walking, bending, kneeling, or climbing within the facility.
- Combination office and warehouse setting.
- Frequent interaction with warehouse associates, transportation providers, and customers.
- Indoor work environment with regular exposure to warehouse activity.
