Job summary

FTTDC - Ohio Logistics in Painted Post, NY seeks a Logistics Customer Service Representative to coordinate daily shipments, communicate with customers and trucking companies, and manage inventory depletion per procedures. The role supports 5S practices and adheres to the Quality Management System.

You will handle order communications, ensure on-time deliveries, and maintain accurate scheduling while providing attentive customer service and problem resolution to meet client specifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient with email and Excel.
• Drug-free; able to pass a drug test.
• Flexible schedule to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily with customers to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Coordinate with trucking companies for shipments.
• Remove inventory from company and customer data base per depletion procedures.
• Receive instructions from supervisor and coordinate activities with coworkers.
• Communicate with customers and vendors to achieve satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area per 5S values.
• Operate within the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Schedule inventory for shipments using FIFO per customer requirements.
• Notify customers of shipment or scheduling issues.
• Follow standard operating procedures for shipments and depletions of inventory.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Communicate daily with customer to ensure all finished goods shipments are done to meet third party customer specifications. Communicate with trucking companies to plan accordingly for shipments. Remove inventory from company and customer data base in accordance with depletion procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Communicate with co-workers and direct supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
• Ability to communicate with customers and outside vendors daily to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, work environment placing all items in an orderly manner per 5S values.
• Operate within the documented QMS (Quality Management System)
• Coordinate finished goods shipment to meet customer demands
• Use warehouse management system to accurately schedule inventory for shipments in FIFO (First In, First Out) order per customer requirements
• Notify/Communicate with customers with any issues with shipment or scheduling
• Follow all standard operating and rules of thumb procedures for shipments and depletions of customer inventory.
