The Senior Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of products through the facility. This position provides direct leadership to warehouse personnel, drives operational performance, and ensures compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
As the primary leader on the warehouse floor, the Senior Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, service levels, and employee development. Working closely with the General Manager, this role helps establish operational priorities, develop team members, and support the overall success of the facility.
Schedule:
3rd Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Additional hours, overtime, and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and material handling.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Monitor workflow and allocate labor resources to meet operational demands.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Resolve operational issues and **escalate concerns as needed**.
- Provide daily leadership, direction, and support to warehouse associates.
- Conduct employee coaching, training, and performance management activities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Lead shift meetings and communicate operational priorities, expectations, and company updates.
- Support staffing, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
- Conduct safety observations, investigations, and corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain adherence to company quality and operational standards.
Inventory & Quality Control
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper warehouse processes and controls.
- Support cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation efforts.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure products are handled, stored, and shipped according to customer and company requirements.
Performance & Reporting
- Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, productivity, quality, and service.
- Prepare operational reports and provide updates to facility leadership.
- Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the operation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain experience; 5+ years preferred.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
- Experience leading teams and driving operational performance.
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands, arms, and manual dexterity.
- Occasional operation of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and moderate to high noise levels.
- Starting Pay: $24.00/hr
