Job summary

GE Vernova in Wilmington, NC, seeks a thermal-hydraulic engineer to support LOCA and containment analyses for current and future BWRs, including design applications and safety evaluations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams for fuel and safety analyses while mentoring peers and contributing to knowledge management.

The role emphasizes two-phase TH modeling, regulatory compliance, and the development of training offerings for external and internal audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or related) from an accredited college or university.
• 3+ years experience performing Thermal Hydraulic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations in ECCS LOCA, Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analyses.
• Lead team process improvements to drive speed and simplification.
• Prepare, document and present technical data to internal/external customers.
• Provide mentoring and training development for team and knowledge management.
