Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced engineering leader to head a 30+ person team in Wilmington, NC, guiding the design, upgrade, and qualification of fuel fabrication equipment and processes. You will champion safety, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and regulatory partners to ensure reliable, compliant plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, nuclear engineering, nuclear operations, or related discipline.
• 3+ years in a technical manufacturing leadership role.
• Ability to walk and climb stairs and ladders, and work around manufacturing equipment.
• Willingness to complete Nuclear Safety Training and follow radiation protection and safety requirements.
• Ability to work onsite daily in Wilmington, NC with relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a technical team of ~30 across FCO, FMO, and Advanced Team managers.
• Direct design, upgrade, and qualification of manufacturing equipment and processes for fuel fabrication.
• Champion nuclear safety culture and ensure safety controls are maintained.
• Partner with operations and maintenance to troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma to improve safety, quality, and output.
• Build partnerships across engineering, operations, and leadership and represent GNF externally.
• Own performance management for engineering deliverables and ensure on-time results.
