GE Vernova is seeking a System Engineer to provide site engineering support for the BWRX-300 SMR project in Wilmington, NC. You will coordinate design deliverables across fabrication, procurement and construction phases, ensuring safety and compliance with specifications.

The role requires a mechanical or nuclear engineering background with 8+ years of engineering experience, including nuclear system design activities, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience with nuclear system design activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide site engineering support for Mechanical Systems engineering activities in the BWRX-300 SMR program.
• Coordinate design deliverables across fabrication, procurement and construction phases.
• Support design and construction activities ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.
• Address issues between construction, fabrication and design teams; monitor progress.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations throughout project execution.
• Liaise with customers and cross-functional teams to complete system design tasks.
• Disposition Field Change Notices (FCN) and Non-Conformances Reports (NCR).
• Deliver technical advice to solve site problems and lead technical deliverables.
