Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced Field Engineer/Lead Engineer for LNG projects across the US Gulf Coast. You will lead a team, manage planning, materials, and quality, and coordinate turnover with Startup and Subcontracts.

Mobility across regions may be required to support multiple Global Business Units. Ideal candidates have extensive LNG and heavy industrial construction experience, strong leadership, and familiarity with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or international equivalent.
• 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience on LNG projects and heavy industrial construction is required.
• Ability to manage and lead teams in a field environment.
• Experience supervising construction site activities and turnover processes.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer on moderate to large LNG projects, coordinating multiple disciplines.
• Direct construction engineers and supervise field activities.
• Plan and package work, manage materials, and validate quantities.
• Ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project specs.
• Coordinate system turnover and startup interfaces with subcontracts.
• Oversee subcontract reviews and documentation flow.
