Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our on-site rural summer camps across the United States. You will oversee prep, production, staff management, and allergen safety for designated day parts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The role requires 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership position, ServSafe Allergens certification, and the ability to live on-site in a rustic camp setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership and cooking skills; comfortable using an iPad; versatile with ingredients; able to identify all Big 9 Allergens; strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, timely service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Enforce allergen protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan); maintain sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Serve as liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
