Job summary

River City Construction in Upper Marlboro, MD is seeking a Distribution Overhead Foreman to lead the construction and maintenance of energized overhead distribution systems across multiple locations. Some travel to other states may be required based on customer demand.

The role requires minimum 5 years as a journeyman lineman, strong leadership, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions. Safety is essential, and the position is non-exempt with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a journey-level lineman engaged in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of distribution electrical systems.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel and work for extended periods in multiple locations.
• Lift more than 50 lbs.
• Willing to work over-time when requested.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction or maintenance work of energized and de-energized overhead work.
• Manage crew members.
• Mentor less experienced employees in safe and productive work procedures.
• Lead and teach hot stick work on energized lines.
• Conduct pre-job or tailgate briefings.
• Have a working knowledge of all aspects of line work.
