Job summary

River City Construction is seeking an experienced Distribution Overhead Lineman 2nd Class for Upper Marlboro, MD. The role requires on-site work with overhead electrical systems, including transformers, meters, and substations. You must be comfortable climbing poles and towers and operating from bucket trucks.

The position emphasizes safety and compliance with all company rules. A valid Class A CDL is required, along with at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience in overhead line work or related field.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to travel and work extended periods in different locations.
• Valid Class A CDL and acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work on overhead distribution lines, transformers, meters, substations and related equipment.
• Climb wood poles, ladders, and towers to install, maintain, or repair lines.
• Install or remove overhead conductors, poles and supports; install equipment as directed.
• Troubleshoot primary and secondary systems and clear faulted circuits; adhere to switching and tagging procedures.
• Work safely, following company safety rules and policies.
