Job summary

Distribution Overhead 3rd Class Lineman - Upper Marlboro, MD is an entry level lineman position in the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems, transformers, meters, metering equipment, electrical substations, and related equipment. You may climb wood poles, ladders, and towers and perform job-site tasks.

You will work safely, complying with all company safety rules and policies, while assisting in the new construction or maintenance of energized and de-energized

Qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and acceptable driving record
• Communicate in English, both orally and written.

Responsibilities

• Work safely, complying with all company safety rules and policies, while assisting in the new construction or maintenance of energized and de-energized overhead work.
• Support the installation or removal of overhead conductors, capacitors, regulators, transformers, transformer banks, lightening arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Frame, install, or remove wood, steel, or concrete poles and supports.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, PPE, and tools in good working order.
• Contribute to the Pre-Job Briefing.
