Job summary

Pacific Hospitality Group seeks a Cook II at Denú Hotel & Spa in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time role supports daily kitchen operations, prepares and presents high-quality menu items, and leads peers in the absence of the Sous Chef. Candidates should have at least two years of culinary experience and knowledge of food safety and HACCP.

We value teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Certification in Food Handler or ServSafe is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of culinary or food service experience in a restaurant, hotel, healthcare, senior living, catering, or institutional setting.
• Working knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes, production schedules, and presentation standards.
• Operate assigned kitchen stations independently while completing daily ingredient preparation and mise en place.
• Lead and coordinate daily kitchen workflow and serve as acting kitchen lead in absence of Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager.
• Train and mentor Cook III and other kitchen staff to foster a professional, collaborative environment.
• Support banquet, catering, and special events, accommodating dietary restrictions and guest requests.
