Job summary

Eataly Houston is seeking a Restaurant Lead Line Cook for our new store opening. You will craft authentic Italian dishes in a fast-paced, open kitchen and supervise other line cooks to ensure top quality during service.

This role requires onsite availability with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Hourly compensation is offered with benefits such as PTO, 401K with match, employee meals, and store discounts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a food preparation position.
• Culinary arts degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees other line cooks and ensures performance standards during service.
• Portions, cuts, slices, dips, batters, breads, whips, beats, maintains holding temperature, fries and sautés.
• Selects cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables to be used for frying or sautéing.
• Plates menu items along with appropriate garnish.
• Follows recipes and complies with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules and procedures, and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
