Job summary

Stone Brewing seeks a Lead Line Cook to support the kitchen team in preparing meats, seafood, vegetables, and other hot items, while ensuring accurate plating and garnishing for timely service.

The role requires 4+ years of high-volume kitchen experience, a San Diego County Food Handlers Card, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation reflects a busy restaurant environment and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume kitchen environments.
• Must hold a San Diego County Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen line, ensuring accurate and efficient cooking of meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables.
• Oversee final plate preparation, plating, and garnishing.
• Collaborate with FOH teams to coordinate timing and service.
• Train and coach kitchen staff; delegate tasks and manage shifts.
• Monitor food prep temperatures and maintain quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary standards; uphold health and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory, parsing, and station-specific product handling.
• Support opening and closing duties and event service as needed.
