Job summary

The ASPCA's Community Veterinary Clinic (CVC) in New York seeks a licensed veterinary technician to join a high-volume program supporting spay/neuter surgery, preventive care and outpatient services.

You will work with CM veterinarians and staff in a team-oriented, compassionate environment, providing skilled medical care while maintaining records and safety standards.

Qualifications

Must have graduated from an accredited school of veterinary science technology (2- or 4-year program).
Current New York State Veterinary Technician License (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
Surgery/anesthesia experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Care for 35-40 cats and dogs per day in spay/neuter surgery.
Administer injections including anesthetics, pain medications, vaccines.
Intubate animals, place IV catheters, perform venipuncture, administer fluids.
Monitor vitals of sedated patients pre-, intra-, and post-op.
Maintain medical records and logs; ensure equipment is functional.
