Job summary

National Vision is seeking a results-driven leader to drive profit and sales in the eyeglass department while ensuring adherence to company policies and quality standards.

The role involves supervising Opticians and sales associates, mentoring staff, forecasting staffing needs, and partnering with the General Manager to recruit and retain top talent. A state optical license and ABO/NCLE certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to analyze financial reports and budgets.
• ABO and NCLE Certification.

Responsibilities

• Drive, monitor, and achieve profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance; identify opportunities and create action plans.
• Convey commitment to outstanding customer service and lead by example.
• Ensure quality standards are met.
• Manage merchandising and execution of marketing, pricing promotions, and initiatives per Brand standards.
• Supervise Opticians and CL Sales associates and ensure timely completion of day-to-day functions.
• Assist the General Manager with staffing forecasts, recruiting, and retention of top staff.
• Lead and coach associates toward sales and customer service goals.
• Mentor Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
