Job summary

National Vision is seeking a Store Manager to lead the eyeglass department in a fast-paced retail environment. You will drive profit, monitor budgets, and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining brand standards across merchandising, pricing, and promotions.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in optical sales, and a license as required by state law. You will mentor staff, forecast staffing needs, and contribute to strategic growth within the store.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading and speaking both English and Spanish.
• Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience. Supervising experience is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Strong communication skills for effective management of teams.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills for planning work and monitoring progress toward goals.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.
• ABO and NCLE Certified

Responsibilities

• Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
• Oversees the eyeglass department for efficiency and compliance with policies.
• Provides outstanding customer service and ensures associates do the same.
• Ensures quality standards are met.
• Manages merchandising, pricing promotions, and brand initiatives.
• Supervises and motivates Opticians and CL Sales associates and ensures day-to-day functions are completed.
• Assists General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, and retention of staff.
• Leads and coaches associates toward sales and customer service goals.
• Mentors Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
