Job summary

Anchorage Library is seeking a customer-service oriented individual to join our Downtown Library team. You will handle circulation duties, assist patrons with accounts, and provide guidance on library services and policies to a diverse community.

The role involves assisting with technology access, answering reference questions, and supporting ongoing library programs and events while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 18 months of customer service and/or library experience.
• Associate’s degree in Library Science or related discipline with 6 months of customer service/library experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line customer service at service desks and assist patrons with library accounts and policies.
• Assist patrons with technology, software, and programs; answer basic reference questions; help locate materials.
