Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Hospital Laboratory Client Service Specialist to support patient registration, order processing, and billing within LIS and HIS systems. The role includes resolving complex client issues and coordinating with physicians, nurses, and reference labs to ensure accurate test processing.

The incumbent will perform result entry, maintain documentation, and contribute to training new partners while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years clerical or healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Process patient registration and order entry in HIS/LIS.
• Verify insurance and billing information, including CPT codes.
• Provide customer service to lab clients and resolve issues.
• Assist with supervision in the absence of the supervisor; mentor partners.
