Job summary

Mercy seeks a Laboratory Support Technician (LST II) to join the provider care team, supporting reports, data and scheduling within the laboratory. The role emphasizes accurate, timely laboratory support and strong customer service following Mercy Signature Service Standards.

The LST II will collect specimens as required for testing, uphold HIPAA confidentiality, and complete facility competencies to qualify for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months phlebotomy or clinical lab exposure.
• Must complete facility competencies for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely laboratory support including reports, data, and scheduling.
• Acquire specimens per procedure and ensure HIPAA confidentiality.
• Maintain Mercy service standards in customer interactions.
