Sunrise Senior Living in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in leading food production, presentation, and kitchen operations while maintaining high culinary, sanitation, and regulatory standards.

You will oversee daily production and presentation, coach dining team members, ensure proper portioning and therapeutic diet compliance, monitor food costs and inventory, and uphold HACCP and food safety throughout the facility, delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Competenze

• Experience as a sous chef or lead kitchen role.
• Ability to oversee food production, portioning, and presentation.
• Familiar with HACCP and state/federal food safety standards.

Mansioni

• Oversee daily food production and presentation
• Support supervision and coaching of dining team members
• Ensure proper portioning, plating, and therapeutic diet compliance
• Monitor food costs, purchasing, and inventory controls
• Maintain accurate production sheets and temperature logs
