Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in leading food production, presentation, and kitchen operations while upholding high culinary, sanitation, and regulatory standards.

You will oversee daily production, coach dining team members, monitor portions and diet compliance, manage costs, and ensure HACCP and safety compliance, delivering high-quality dining experiences for residents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily food production and presentation
• Support supervision and coaching of dining team members
• Ensure proper portioning, plating, and therapeutic diet compliance
• Monitor food costs, purchasing, and inventory controls
• Maintain accurate production sheets and temperature logs
• Enforce HACCP and food safety standards
• Support special events, banquets, and catering
• Engage with residents to monitor satisfaction
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
