Job summary

Heartland Automotive LLC is seeking a Lead Operator in Lafayette, IN. You will coordinate activities of maintenance-aligned associates and supervise daily operations across equipment in a manufacturing environment.

You will train staff, ensure safety and quality standards, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining accurate records, 5S standards, and TPM goals across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; two years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist associates in preventative maintenance and safe operation of equipment.
• Lead, motivate, and cover for associates as needed; supervise process stations.
• Ensure quality conformance by inspecting parts and reporting issues promptly.
• Complete paperwork accurately and maintain 5S standards.
• Monitor attendance and production records; support TPM goals.
• Participate in continuous improvement and safety programs.
