Job summary

Heartland Automotive LLC in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Lead Operator to coordinate and assist with maintenance and operation of all equipment in our manufacturing environment. You will train and guide associates, ensure safety and quality, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities include machine setup, recording scrap, leading teams, addressing faults, QA checks, 5S, TPM goals, documentation, and emergency response.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or equivalent with two years of manufacturing experience or Heartland Automotive LLC. experience will be accepted in lieu of education.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide associates on manufacturing lines, including training, planning, directing work and resolving problems.
• Train and assist associates in performing preventative maintenance and operating machinery safely.
• Clear faults, restart machines promptly and monitor production with accurate data entry.
