Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is hiring a Lead Job Developer/Case Manager to coordinate job development services for veterans, assess needs, design employment plans, and build relationships with employers. This on-site role combines administrative duties with field outreach to connect veterans with training and placement opportunities.

The position requires 2 years in case management or job development, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and the ability to work with a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience (4 years) in employment placement and vocational counseling activities.
• 2 years of experience in case management or as a job developer.
• 2 years of experience working with a homeless population/clientele.

Responsibilities

• Assign and monitor case load of Job Development teams.
• Review daily referrals and screenings of Veterans.
• Designates participants to Job Developer for intake and ensures all supporting documents are verified.
• Provides information and referrals for callers and walk-in Veterans.
• Monitors Job Developers on a regular basis to determine quality and effectiveness of services provided.
• Review cases with Program Coordinator and Team.
• Audit case file on a regular basis for completeness and accuracy.
• Conducts crisis intervention as necessary.
