Job summary

University of Maryland seeks an IT Desktop Support Coordinator Lead within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) to advance endpoint management and asset control. You will guide Windows and Mac environments, drive automation, and collaborate on deployments and security enhancements.

The role requires strong communication, mentorship, and project leadership while supporting enterprise systems such as Azure, Intune, and Office 365. An in-person presence at College Park is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Seven (7) years of professional IT infrastructure experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to adapt style to audiences.
• Ability to independently prioritize and execute advanced support requests.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and secure Windows and Mac endpoints in various environments.
• Manage Mac OS using JAMF and scripts for configuration and management.
• Automate desktop management processes with scripting to boost efficiency.
• Plan and implement system enhancements and deploy new apps/services.
• Handle patch deployment, packaging, and remediation scripts.
• Leverage AD, Azure, InTune, Office 365, OMS, and AWS to optimize performance.
• Provide AV/room tech support for conference rooms.
• Test OS releases, patches, and software deployments before rollout.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities on endpoints.
• Operate within ServiceNow to resolve incidents within SLA.
