Thumbtack is seeking an Lead Internal Communications Manager to shape how we communicate across the company, aligning internal messaging with business priorities and executive strategy. You will own multi-year initiatives, guide senior leaders, and partner across Brand & Communications, Marketing, People, and product teams.

You will drive high-visibility programs, from all-hands to leadership updates, while applying AI to accelerate research and drafting with top-notch editorial judgment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in internal or executive communications.
• Proven track record leading enterprise communications strategies that influence executives and drive measurable impact.
• Experience managing company-wide moments like all-hands, AMAs, and leadership announcements.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication, translating complex topics into clear narratives.
• Strong executive presence with ability to advise senior leaders on messaging and change.
• Ability to create scalable programs with data-driven insights to improve effectiveness.
• Editorial judgment in integrating AI into workflows while ensuring final deliverables meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global internal communications strategies connecting business priorities to clear messaging across teams.
• Drive long-term communications initiatives from strategy through execution with best practices for consistency and alignment.
• Advise senior leaders on messaging, shaping executive narratives and employee communications across moments.
• Establish success metrics, evaluate effectiveness, and use insights to improve engagement and outcomes.
• Shape executive and enterprise communications, including all-hands, AMA materials, leadership updates, and company announcements.
• Collaborate with Brand & Communications, Marketing, People, Engineering, Product and other functions to drive alignment.
• Leverage AI to accelerate research, drafting, synthesis, and iteration while maintaining editorial quality.
