Job summary

The Atlantic District in Staunton, VA is seeking a Lead Agent to run a Farmers insurance agency, guiding growth, operations, and client service. You will mentor agents, build local relationships, and ensure compliant, high-quality coverage for families and businesses in the Staunton area.

Your leadership will help expand our footprint while delivering trusted protection and peace of mind to the community. This is a hands-on role with mentoring and community engagement at its core.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Property & Casualty license.
• 3+ years managing insurance accounts or driving sales growth.
• Experience with agency management systems and digital document workflows.
• Clear, empathetic communication and client-facing skills.
• Local knowledge of the Staunton area and surrounding communities.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and oversee daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily insurance sales operations to ensure our clients receive consistent, high-quality care.
• Identify gaps in coverage for existing policyholders and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Cultivate and grow our local client base through networking and community engagement.
• Mentor and guide newer agents, sharing your expertise to help them refine their sales techniques.
• Review complex risk profiles and help clients navigate their options with transparency and ease.
• Maintain accurate client records while ensuring compliance with all state insurance regulations.
