Zusammenfassung

Genentech is seeking an Instrumentation Specialist to join the Instrument Services and Maintenance team in California. You will lead calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of analytical instruments in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will mentor peers, manage vendor activities, and ensure compliance with safety and SOPs while supporting process control systems and instrument data analysis for reliable plant operations.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalency required; vocational/instrumentation training strongly preferred.
• Proven hands-on experience calibrating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and installing analytical instruments in a cGMP/cGxP environment.
• Technical expertise with process control systems, BAS, DCS, and loop controllers.
• Proficient computer skills with calibration/maintenance management systems and standard office apps.
• Strong safety mindset with experience executing LOTO procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and ability to mentor peers and coordinate vendor activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience documenting job plans and SOPs.

Aufgaben

• Perform advanced calibrations, repairs, and preventive maintenance on analytical instruments to minimize downtime.
• Oversee and manage vendor activities, escort external technicians, and review calibration/PM/repair docs.
• Provide technical leadership during design, installation, validation, and commissioning of new instrumentation and control systems.
• Monitor, trend, and analyze instrument data using BAS and DCS to drive corrective actions.
• Develop and refine calibration procedures, job plans, technical reports, and SOPs.
• Mentor and train peers and coordinate tasks with management for project execution.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering for start-ups and challenges.
