Job summary

Serán BioScience seeks a Senior Controls & Calibration Technician to act as site SME for instrumentation, control systems, and low-voltage electrical systems, supporting pharmaceutical development, labs, and manufacturing.

The role leads calibration program ownership, development of maintenance strategies, and collaboration with Engineering, Facilities, QA, Validation, and external partners to deliver scalable automation solutions and reliable site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or technical degree in engineering, automation, or applicable mechanical discipline preferred.
• Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a federally regulated industry.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, ISA standards, and GMP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the site technical lead for instrumentation, controls, and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Develops and maintains site instrumentation specifications.
• Establishes and drives long-term control maintenance strategies for manufacturing, laboratories, utilities, and facility equipment.
• Reviews and approves control system instrumentation and control panel designs developed by vendors and system integrators.
• Partners with engineering teams to ensure scalable and maintainable automation solutions are implemented across the site.
• Lead review and modification of control panels and low-voltage electrical systems supporting manufacturing and utility operations.
