Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Manager, Inside Plant (ISP) Engineering to lead design, delivery, and commissioning of in-building communications infrastructure for data centers and mission-critical facilities. You will oversee structured cabling, MDF/IDF, racks, pathways, and safety systems from pre-construction through handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in structured cabling, inside plant engineering, low-voltage infrastructure, or data center construction.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, contractors, and infrastructure projects.
• Strong expertise in fiber and copper cabling, MDF/IDF design, racks, pathways, and physical network infrastructure.
• Experience managing vendors, project schedules, budgets, and quality programs.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as TIA, BICSI, NEC, and related low-voltage design frameworks.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, testing documentation, commissioning activities, and as-built records.
• Familiarity with DAS, ERRCS/BDA, in-building wireless coverage, and life-safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery, and commissioning of in-building communications infrastructure across data center facilities.
• Oversee structured cabling, MDF/IDF environments, racks, pathways, and safety technologies from pre-construction to handover.
• Establish engineering standards, drive contractor performance, and ensure scalable deployments.
• Manage multiple concurrent construction projects across geographically distributed sites.
